District Announcements
Ebola Information
Aledo ISD has fielded several calls from parents inquiring about the news of Ebola infections in Dallas. We are in contact with the Parker County Health Department and are getting guidance from them in our planned responses. To date, there are no reported cases of any staff, students, or family members connected with Aledo ISD that have been exposed to the Ebola virus or who are in isolation due to a potential exposure.

It is important to point out that, according to health officials, individuals are not considered contagious until symptoms appear. According to the Parker County Health Department there is no risk of infection to staff, students or family members who may have had indirect contact – through multiple degrees of separation – with someone who was potentially exposed or is in isolation.

District officials will be in regular communication with the Parker County Health Department. We will amend any procedures, as necessary, if new information comes to us that there has been possible exposure or isolation with regard to anyone in our school community.

All district facilities are cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis to provide for a pleasant, safe, and healthy learning environment. The safety and well-being of our students and the entire Bearcat family is our top priority.  We will keep open lines of communication with the entire school community regarding any health concerns.  Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact your campus principal or Scott Kessel, Aledo ISD Director of Student Services & Safety at 817-441-5161 or

For additional information and resources on Ebola, please go to: or view the Frequently Asked Questions from the Department of State Health Services.

Oct. 25 Pumpkin Patch Supports Aledo Choirs
The Aledo Choir is hosting a Pumpkin Patch again this year to raise money for its upcoming activities and trips for both Aledo Middle School and Aledo High School choirs. The pumpkin patch is Oct. 25 at Aledo First Financial Bank on FM 1187. This has been a huge success in the past, and has helped raise money to cover the transportation costs involved in spring trips. Both campuses will have a spring trip again this year, and this fundraiser can be a huge help in reducing costs for each family. The money raised will only go toward the expenses of the students who participate by working or donating needed items. Come get pumpkins and support Aledo Choirs!
