Softball / Baseball Schedule Update
Due to Friday, April 18th being a make up day for bad weather, the baseball and softball games will be played on Friday.  Varsity games start at 7:00.  This will be senior night for girls softball.


Ladycats Basketball Team Basks in All-State Honors
The Ladycats basketball team may not have quite taken the State Championship, but members of the team brought an impressive array of honors, including being named to the All-State team, Star-Telegram Super Team and more. See the complete listing here. And congratulations to Coach Pinkerton and his coaching staff, and to all the Ladycats for achieving such stellar accomplishments this year.

Caleb Buchanan selected for THSCA All-Star Game


The All-Star Football game, now in its’ 80th year, will be played on July 22nd at the Alamodome.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.  The South team will be coached by Bob Gillis of El Campo High School, and the North will be coached by Joey McGuire of Cedar Hill High School. Selected to play from Aledo High School is Caleb Buchanan.

AHS Choir Earns Sweepstakes at UIL!!
For the first time since 2008, the Aledo High School varsity choir scored Sweepstakes at its UIL competition. And according to Choir Director Karen Paul, it was their most challenging program ever. Congratulations!!

Ladycats Golf Teams Win District 7-4A and Advance to Regionals
The Varsity Ladycats golf teams took 1st and 2nd place in the District 7-4A golf tournament this week at Pecan Valley Golf Course. The Black team of Cheyenne Knight, Savannah Moody, Taylor Brookshire, Quincy Ballard and Taryn Pittman won the District Championship, and now advance to Regionals in Abilene. The Orange team of Mary Katherine Ingram, Elizabeth Boll, Emily Barkell, Maddie Clemens, Sarah Price and Annie Baldwin won Second place and will also advance to Regionals. Cheyenne Knight won the Individual Girls Championship, shooting 69-72; Taylor Brookshire placed Second, and Quincy Ballard, Third. Overall, the Aledo Ladycats had eight girls in the top 10 individually. The girls will play in Abilene at Diamondback Golf Club in the Regional Tournament April 16 and 17. Good Luck!!

Varsity Tennis Teakes District 7-4A, Advancing to Regionals
Congratulations to the Aledo Varsity Tennis Team. The ENTIRE team advanced to Day Two of the District 7-4A Tennis Tournament held this week at TCU. Aledo walked away walked away with First Place in Girls Singles (Nikki Adamie), Boys Doubles (Ryan Howell/Erik Meendsen) and Mixed Doubles (Noah Shibley/Marilyn Plunk).  Aledo took Second Place in Girls Singles (Elizabeth Larson) and Mixed Doubles (Sarah Goolsby/Brian Young). Third Place honors went to Boys Singles (Ridge Stringer), Girls Doubles (Kate Mazade/Lindsey Bradford) and Boys Doubles (John Michael Barron/Hayden Posey). Fourth Place went to Aledo in Boys Singles (Steven Johnson) and Girls Doubles (Sarah Hadley Duncan/Mallory Clay). Awesome job, Aledo Varsity Tennis!!

AHS Varsity Winterguard Wins Silver

The Aledo High School varsity Winterguard received the silver medal in the National A class of the North Texas Colorguard Association competition. The junior varsity received a silver medal in the Regional A class, and the AMS Colorguard won silver in the Cadet division. Congratulations!

Ladycats Named to All-District Teams
Congratulations to the Ladycats Soccer players who were named to All-District teams. Maddy Lozano was named Offensive Player of the Year. On First Team are Kristen Schultz, Shelby Brown, Peyton Laughley, Sydney Laughley and Sydney Barb. Named to the Second Team are Brittney Trought, Kaitlin Detherage, Haley Knesek and Sydney Vancuren.

Shattered Dreams Parent Volunteers
Parent volunteers are still needed to help us successfully present the Shattered Dreams program at Aledo High School on Thursday and Friday, April 17 and 18.  Please see the attached flyer and sign up to assist. Shattered Dreams is an educational program designed to save lives. Help is needed in the hospitality room.

AHS Senior Wins Exemplary Aard at State VASE Competition
Three students from Aledo High School attended the State Visual Arts Scholastic Event Competition in College Station last weekend. There were 26,700 entries, of which 1,626 went to the state competition. Of those, 162 won Gold Seals. Congratulations to AHS senior Callie Mendenhall who had a perfect score and achieved the Exemplary award!!

Football Season Ticket Holders

AISD will host the Season Tickets Exchange event on Tuesday, April 8, from 6-8 p.m. This is the time for renewed ticket holders to relocate to more desirable seats. The entrance for this event is located at the doors by the Bearcat Store in the AISD Administration Building.

Tickets must have been renewed in order to participate in the exchange. No additional Season Tickets may be purchased at this time, but ticket upgrades must be purchased during this event. 

If you are unable to attend, a proxy authorized by you in writing is acceptable, or you may come to the Bearcat Store during normal store hours (Monday – Friday,  8 a.m. – 4 p.m.), April 9 – April 24, to exchange/relocate tickets.

Visitors to Aledo High School Campus

Parents are welcome to visit our school.  For the safety of those within the school and to avoid disruption of instructional time, all visitors must report to the main office and sign in, and must comply with all applicable district policies and procedures.

Visitors other than parents are generally not permitted on campus.

Food Deliveries to Campus

Food deliveries of any kind are not permitted to be delivered to students on campus.  Parents may bring food to the office for their child only on special occasions (that means your parents cannot bring food for another student or a group of students).
